Which positions are actively open:
Employment Positions include:
Veterinarian - We currently are offering a very unique position for an
"On-Call" Veterinarian. This position would be a good fit for veterinarians that are looking for a way to make a living while keeping their days open for their families, are hoping to transition into partial-retirement, or are looking for part-time work for full-time pay. There is sufficient "on-call" work here in Cedar City to comfortably support a family. Nevertheless, this position allows the doctor the autonomy to choose to work either strictly "on-call", using our facility when an emergency warrants coming into the office, or to include scheduled "after-hours" and/or relief work for our primary veterinarian for supplemental income. The pay is generous and will accommodate the doctor relative to the (in)convenience of the hour and the production of the doctor. Please contact us for more details!
Veterinary Technician - We currently have both part-time and full-time positions open for veterinary technicians. Experience is preferred but training is available. We are looking also for strictly "on-call" technicians that, while not necessarily working scheduled hours, can remain available to come in and assist the doctor on emergencies during closed business hours.

What we seek in prospective employees:
We are always looking for intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated individuals to join our rapidly-growing veterinary practice. Dr. Norton is a wonderful and generous employer and an experienced and kind doctor, while our entire team is comprised of exceptional individuals, making our office truly a joy to work in. Experience (particularly in small-animal care) is preferred but not required; those seeking stable, long-term employment in a small-town, family-oriented, service environment are welcome. Excellence in integrity and standard of care is vital in both part-time and full-time employees. We appreciate efficiently proactive, detail-oriented individuals who are effective problem-solvers and good communicators. It is important that each team member be thoughtful, mindful, and capable of clear and articulate communication with clients and co-workers. We are looking for those who enjoy and take pride in interacting with and serving both people and their pets (recognizing and caring for the needs of the client as well as the animal) and who contribute to a clean, comforting, and inviting environment that allows for a positive experience with every veterinary visit. Our hospital is fitted with all the latest high-tech equipment and our Veterinarian and staff are all excellent people who provide exceptional care. They are respectful, kind, patient, and helpful to each other and to all clients and patients we serve, and they each strive to ensure that every animal and owner feels valued and cared for. Finally, a sense of humor is also a welcome addition, as we enjoy a light and friendly atmosphere in our office.
